Chasity has picked up and move from Canada to Texas when her world shattered and she lost her family and found out things weren't as great as she thought they were. The last thing she is thinking about is a man in her life, yet when she runs into Kanen at horse track with her friend, he seems to be the only thing she can think of. Kanen is known as The Wrecker, a superstar bull rider with a past that has given him a hardened shell around his heart. When he runs into Chastity, or Canada as he calls her, he knows there is something different about her. Neither can get the other out of their heads and when they see each other again at Chastity's first rodeo the sparks still fly. Their paths keep crossing and the more time they spend together the more they enjoy that time, but both have skeletons in their closets. I loved this book from Jess Bentley. Chastity and Kanen are amazing for each other and the work Kanen does with the kids is just adorable.

Cleo knows she shouldn't be lusting after he mom's husband, but there is something about Drake Markham that she can't deny she wants. Cleo doesn't have a normal childhood growing up, her mom does whatever she can to try and hook a rich husband while working for a cleaning company and many times Cleo is there with the rest of the crew cleaning. When her mom lands Drake her life changes, but she didn't realize just how much Drake would come to mean to her. Drake knows his marriage to Lucinda isn't a typical marriage, just one of convenience but even that isn't what it used to be. Plus he is really noticing his wife's daughter now that she is legal and has grown into her body is the best ways possible. These two have an explosive 2 weeks together and then Lucinda swoops in sending Cleo away while making them both think the worst of the other. Four years go by and Cleo has made quite the name for herself after being left at the Donkey Club by her mom and when their paths cross again neither is willing to let the other go this time. Another hot read from Cassandra Dee.
Carolyn Banks has watched her friends all pair off lately and she is happy for them, but wonders if her life will always be her store and the website Rainflower Blue she runs. Until one night out with her friends at The Swan puts her in Ace Kingsley's orbit. Ace has been gone from New York for two years and returned after the loss of his wife in Italy. The rumor mill is rampant with thoughts and speculation about him and his absence, yet no one knows for sure yet. At night out, trying to reconnect with old friends brings him face to face with a woman who makes him forget about everything else. An explosive night together leads to a horrible morning when Ace pushes Carolyn, Carrie, away. But fate, maybe, has different ideas and soon they find themselves living in the same building and not wanting to avoid each other. But both have secrets that could threaten their relationship and neither want to be the first to divulge them. When all secrets are revealed both have issues to get over in order to move forward, if they truly want it bad enough. I loved Ace and Carrie's story.
The final in this series is by far my favorite! Nathan Blake hasn't been the same since he lost the woman, Aisha, he loved and has further tainted his soul in his opinion since that loss. With the DeLaCouer clan he may find a chance at some redemption of his own. Melissa Sands may be the older sibling, but her brother Carson has been protecting her and caring for her since the death of their mother. Now with the addition of Andrea, Jackson, Katrina, Baby Andrea and Nathan she may find some balance in her world. Nathan awakens the woman in Melissa, but because of how he views his life their love won't come easy. The two dance around each other, admit how they feel and still Nathan tries to keep her as pure as possible, even if it means not giving in to the feelings he has. When Nathan realizes he is a part of this family they have created he knows there is nothing won't do to make sure they make it through the latest attack from Peter DeLaCouer, the father of Andrea, Jackson and Melissa. I love that even though Melissa views herself as the weakest link in their family Nathan realizes she is his heart and that makes him fight even harder. This family has gone through so much in this series due to Peter and his sick and twisted need for his own version of revenge. When Melissa finds herself in the crosshairs of her father and a blast from Nathan's past the family and Nathan will stop at nothing and cash in whatever favors they have to bring her back safe. An absolutely amazing series from Lauren Landish!
Ethan McLaughlin should be happy with his life. He has fame, fortune and an endless supply of women that would do anything to be seen on his arm, but they don't want to know the real Ethan so they get the version the public is familiar with. One night while doing a search for a strong woman he stumbles upon Lady Grace's website. Lady Grace is a Domme who will help you explore fantasies in a safe place. Reagan is Lady Grace and her world is safe that way, keeping love and men separate from her every day life. Until Ethan enters her world that is. Ethan and Reagan have a chemistry that is hot and Reagan finds herself breaking from her Lady Grace character and falling for the man Ethan is. Ethan loves that Reagan wants to know the real Ethan and finds himself wanting to explore the connection they have. When real life enters their relationship both have a lot of soul searching in order to get their fairy tale ending. The latest from Chance Carter is hot! Reagan is a woman who embraces her kinky side and isn't afraid to be in charge, yet is good with Ethan leading the charge as well.
This was a new author for me, but I enjoyed the book. Kelly is a college student who, because of liking to gamble, finds herself in a jam and answering an ad for a surrogate. Grant should have everything going for him in his life; money, a great business, a wife. All that's missing from the "happy" marriage is a baby and when they find Monica can't get pregnant they turn to surrogacy to complete their happy family. What should be an answer to his wife's wish Kelly signs on to be their surrogate, but even a perfect picture is just a picture and Grant's world unravels. Kelly and Grant find an attraction to each other and when his marriage is no longer an issue it should be kind of simple, but his soon to be ex-wife won't let that happen.
To say Lola Grace's life has been normal is the understatement of the century. Living on her own since 17, in college for a year at 18 and a mom who is more concerned on how things will look for her mayoral bid than what is good for her kid. When out to celebrate her 18th birthday she's out with her friends and meets a man she doesn't want to say no to. Max's life has also been anything but normal. The night before he is forced to marry a woman he can't stand in order to help out his parent's financially, he goes out with a friend and ends up meeting a girl who could be more than what he was expecting. A hot night together where Lola Grace looses her virginity to a man she wasn't expecting followed by a lunch with her mom and her new stepdad, Max makes life so complicated for both her and Max. These two go through the ringer thanks to their families and people Lola Grace thought she could trust. A hot, steamy new read with heart from Isabella Starling.
A twist to the Little Mermaid, with bear shifters and a photoshoot to make the maid look like a mermaid. Carmen works for her aunt's cleaning company, is finishing her degree and helps her mom with her siblings. Her work week is chaotic and she looks forward to her favorite stop on Fridays cleaning the one house that usually isn't bad and the customer is a great tipper. Aiden Dixon is a busy bear working at his family's company, Asher Lumber Co. When his maid is late and he is home he finally gets the chance to meet the woman whose scent lingers in his home. The two are polar opposites, yet drawn to one another even when Carmen's aunt, her boss, says that there is no fraternizing with the customers. Aiden does an amazing job of getting around the no talking policy her aunt has and they find so much about each other. When Carmen quits because she thinks her aunt went too far Aiden is there to make sure she smiles and gets a break by taking her to Port Jameson. Carmen learns some rules were made to be broken and with Aiden she finds a connection that most people search their whole lives for. Another great read from Sable Sylvan.
Willow Winters continues to amaze me with her latest, Broken. While a darker book than her others at the heart there is a love and trust between Olivia and Kade. When Olivia thinks her life can't get any worse after being kicked out of school, lost her job and trying to figure out how to make ends meet, she finds herself is the wrong place at the wrong time and then face to face with Kade. Kade has his reasons for being where he was and who he is with, but when he sees Olivia he knows he wants to save her...meaning any way necessary. What comes next is something Olivia had thought about, just maybe not in the context she finds herself in. A Dominant/slave relationship and with no choice other than to cooperate, until she cant get free. The more time the two spend the deeper the feeling begin to develop between them. Olivia knows Kade is probably the last person she should trust, yet she finds herself trusting him. Kade knows he is the last person who should fall in love with Olivia, yet he finds himself falling anyway. When the danger closes in Kade will sacrifice everything in order to make sure Olivia stays safe and able to return home. Their story may not be your typical love story, but for them they wouldn't have it any other way. A dark, hot read with heart from Willow Winters.
The last of the Maxfield brothers meets his match in his sister-in-law's younger sister. Nathan is the youngest of the brothers, an adrenaline junkie and wants to see the family company go in a greener direction with design and architecture. While working on the latest design for the company and hoping to make a name for himself in the industry the last thing on his mind is a relationship. But a baby shower for his oldest brother and sister-in-law has him really seeing her younger sister, Carolina for the first time. Carolina is a single mom to three kids, three times divorced and helping run her mother's restaurant the last thing she thinks she needs is another relationship, but there is something about the youngest Maxfield brother that she is taken with. Two seemingly polar opposites, more baggage than most relationships can handle and families that think they know best for each Carolina and Nathan have their work cut out for them. While the odds may seem stacked against them these two make it work in amazing ways. This was my favorite of the Maxfield brothers books. The way Nathan includes Carolina's kids in everything, after he gets over his first solo babysitting shift with only a few bumps on the road and that he gets along with Carolina's last ex-husband, who the kids all think of as dad is awesome.
