Emmy works at the university paper and tries to write things that matter so when she gets her next assignment she wants so bad to refuse, a piece on the hotshot football star Walker "Stallion" Johnson. Yet when she gets the courage up to go to the football house she finds herself drawn to the man that Walker is, even when he tries to push her out of her comfort zone. The more time she spends with him the more she is drawn to him and has to keep reminding herself she has a boyfriend. Walker loves football, partying and the women that flock to him just because of who he is. Yet the first time he meets Emmy he can tell she is different, but he's not ready for what that could mean yet. Like Emmy, though, the more time spent with her the more he is drawn to her and what she could mean to his life. After an amazing night together they both say things to goad the other following a football game. A month without the other has them both pining for the other, yet the thing that brings them together is the one thing neither were planning on. I loved the latest from Autumn Avery!
Walker is a great book boyfriend because even as cocky and full of himself he starts Emmy has the power to bring him down a notch and realize there is more to life than the simple gratification he had become used to. Not to mention when push comes to shove he steps up for Emmy in the best possible way.

This series has been truly amazing, in my opinion, but Willow Winters knocked it out of the park with Bad Boy. Anthony is the odd man out in the Valetti family, they love him in their own ways, yet are scared of him at the same time. Anthony’s mom, the one person who should have protected him and given him unconditional love, beat him when he was young and his yelling out in pain started the snowball that ended her life. With a start like that how can he not be some kind of messed up? When he gets a hit for Catherine, due to her being a snitch, everything for him changes with her picture. Catherine had such a normal, boring life, until her mom died, then she wanted a taste of the wild life. What she ended up with was the things of nightmares and when she finally does run to the cops she knows she is on borrowed time. What starts as a normal night for her ends up so different when she wakes up in a cold, dark cellar with a man saying he wants to keep her. Be his pet or more than likely die, she goes with the flow thinking she can get away, until that day she really doesn’t want to get away anymore and everything changes. Like she first thought can a relationship that started with a kidnapping end with love and is it really love? This book is HOT, yet in its’ own way so very sweet. Catherine sees something in Anthony that even his own family has a hard time seeing, he is not a monster. I can’t enough how much I loved this book!
Anthony makes a great book boyfriend because he is not afraid to be his own person, his tastes may not be what most would understand but he owns I. In the end he is willing to let Catherine go for her to be happy, even though it would kill him. He said it best when she asked him why he didn't want her to call him master or sir, that he knew from the minute he saw her he would end up just as much of a slave to her as she would ever be to him. When Alex is sentenced to community service of coaching peewee football in the small town of Sylvester, Pennsylvania he didn't think it could be any worse. He is a big football star and thought he could get out of the ticket basically by being him, but the judge thinks differently. The cop who gave him said ticket is at the hearing and while she isn't someone he would normally go for, there is something about her that intrigues him. Officer Phoebe Maguire thinks she has the cocky Alex all figured out and none of it is good, but her daughter loves him and is a member of the peewee football team he will be helping. The fireworks ignite every time they are near each other, until they realize maybe it's not hatred but attraction that is to blame. While Alex tries to help her out with diners and then when her daughter gets hurt during a game Phoebe realizes there is more to him than meets the eye. Alex finds that with Phoebe and her daughter he has the pieces that have been missing from his life this whole time. These two have their share of drama with a crazy stalker, a greedy manager, paparazzi and a crazy ex but through it all they only come out stronger. I loved this read from Abigail Graham!
Crystal Wordsworth gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she gets to cover the Golden Ball at the Asher Manor, what she wasn't counting on was meeting Damien. Damien pulls out all the stops when he learns Crystal's name, he knows she is his mate, but needs to know he can trust her before revealing who he really is. Crystal knows Damien as Damien Michaels, not Damien Dixon, and falls for him quickly. When the truth is revealed they both have to overcome the lie to find their way back to each other. I love the bits of fairy tale that Sable Sylvan spins into her story. The frog, Mother Goose who wants her family happy and will butt in to make it happen. Damien an Crystal are awesome together!
Damien is a great book boyfriend because with Crystal he is so very sweet, even though he isn't completely honest about who he really is. He plans stuff with her that he hopes she will enjoy and even when she runs from him he still wants to make sure she is safe. And let's be honest who wouldn't want that? Lani Lynn Vale never ceases to amaze me with her writing and her books! While this book is different from her previous books she has a way of drawing a reader in and making you care about what is going on in her story. This is a book about a Dragon Rider Prince, meaning he is bonded with a dragon named Declan, meeting the woman that is meant to be his mate and his Queen. Keifer is content with the status quo that has become his life, never thinking a mate would happen for him since his life is connected to his dragon which means his years are extended like Declan's. When he goes to get his little brother from his girlfriend's apartment his life is about to change forever and he will learn that Dragon Riders are meant to have a mate. Blythe is coming home after a long day at work where she had to work twice as hard because her neighbor decided not to come into work, when she brushes against a man dragging her neighbor's boyfriend out the building and everything changes for her. Blythe and Keifer learn they are fated mates and what that all entails. They have their growing pains like any normal couple, but with the added chaos of powers, dragons, Purists(the group after the Dragon Riders) and taking over the role of King for Keifer. I was drawn in from the first word until the last and can't wait for the next book in the series.
Who wouldn't want a guy like Keifer? He's strong, protective, powerful(and hey you get to wield those powers too), part of an MC and there are the dragons that sound awesome! We got to meet Daisy in Johnny Deeper when her sister Rose met John, now this is her story. Where Rose loves football Daisy loves baseball. She is witty, free and strong but when her sister shows up for the summer with John along she escapes to a bar for a break from the happy couple. Her life hasn't turned out the way she thought it would yet. She is still working at a place she hates, taking pictures of things that she could care less about, she is still single and feels like a failure at life. When she walks into the bar not far from her apartment she meets the bartender who is going to change her life, she just doesn't know it yet. Hunter is on his last night at the bar when the girl walks in and they begin to talk, his shift almost over he invites her back to his place. Their night is over and life is supposed to move on as usual, but neither realize just how much that night is going to mean. A chance encounter after a baseball to the head lands Daisy in the hospital and finding out she's pregnant, Hunter is the father and the man that hit the ball that hit her in the head. What follows is a relationship in reverse when Daisy becomes the photographer for the article to be written about Home Run Hunter. Just when they think they are getting to a place where this family could be possible there is a curveball thrown in and Daisy makes a decision that could change everything. Hunter tries to let it go, but the universe won't let him with all the signs being thrown in his path and he ends up by her side when Daisy needs him the most. I loved the story of Daisy and Hunter! Their story is complicated and messy yet so very perfect for the people they are.
Olivia lives by her own set of rules and does everything to makes sure she doesn't leave herself vulnerable to anything. She has clear rules when she decides to hook up with Brad Scott, the hockey player who is friends with her friend's fiancé, and it has a clear end date in her mind. Brad has his own issues so when the end date comes he goes with it and walks away to begin his hockey season. Brad has his own set of insecurities like the fact his brother has recently been released from prison and his stuttering issue that he works so hard to try and control. What neither counted on was that they didn't want to be done, but Olivia has to overcome her fears that men leave. Their story comes with it's own set of issues that both must overcome, not to mention a baby that neither planned on. I absolutely loved the latest from Vivian Lux! Brad is the perfect man for Olivia because he understands just how much it means for her to let down her walls and let him in.
Brad is perfectly imperfect which makes him an amazing book boyfriend. When Spencer goes undercover for his SEAL team to attempt to find the location of Coran Williams by being his daughter Toni's bodyguard he figured it would just be another job. What he didn't count on was his attraction to her, even when he doesn't think he can trust her. Toni Williams has always tried to gain the love of her father, even when faced with the cold hard truth her dad may not be a good guy. When she hires Spencer she tries to ignore her attraction to him, but at an oasis in Jubail everything changes for both of them when they finally give in to their attraction. But with being on opposite sides of the Coran Williams issue, even with the whole truth laid out, their relationship isn't all wrapped up in a bow after the mission is over. Time may be the one thing they both need in order to get their happy ending and Toni being added to this SEAL team's family. I loved this whole series and Spencer's story was awesome.
Spencer is awesome and makes a great book boyfriend because loyalty is an important quality to find in someone and he has that in spades even when he's not sure what side Toni is on. Royal gets his turn for a mate when he runs into Camilla, Elsa, in town. When she tells him she a princess on the run he can't believe his luck, he has always seen himself with a princess. Camilla is a con artist in town with her sights set on her next mark, Royal. Telling him her name is Elsa and princess seems easy to start with, but the more time she spends with Royal and his squad has her questioning her con. When she decides she can't go through with it her past comes crashing into her present and tries to jeopardize her future. With the truth out Camilla can only hope the guys will accept her and embrace her into their family. I love Royal and Camilla! I can't wait for the rest of the Clawed Squad finding their mates so they can stay on their ranch.
Royal makes a great book boyfriend because who wouldn't want the chance to find their prince who would always stay by our side. I loved the conclusion to the Barone Crime Family! Louisa is the daughter of Arturo Barone, the head of the Barone mob, but she doesn't share her fathers' same ideals. When she wanted to join her father he laughed at her so she started her own, and when the human trafficking was brought to her attention she decided to do something about it. Louisa started the Spiders, with the goal of taking her father down and stopping the human trafficking and with her girls they have done pretty well. Louisa knows they need more help though and when she meets Wyatt Carter she makes him a business offer, what she wasn't expecting was the attraction they would feel for each other. Wyatt makes a perfect ally for Louisa, but also a great man to have by her side because her strength doesn't scare him off. Wyatt wants to make Chicago a better city and with Louisa by his side they have the chance to take control, but they know they have to get rid of Arturo first. I have loved this whole series and Louisa's story was perfect.
Wyatt is an awesome book boyfriend because he understands Louisa in a way that no one has. He loves her strength, but also knows sometimes she wants the man by her side to take control so they balance each other. |
