I enjoyed the latest from Lauren Wood. When Ayla shows up in the wilds of Alaska, to claim her inheritance, she is looking for the change to her life that she desperately needs. What she finds is much more than she had thought. Bill is a mountain man that finds the beauty on the side of the road and helps her out. The more time they spend together the more they find the one person they didn't know they were missing.
I loved the latest from Lexi Whitlow! When Logan and Bryn meet again it's with him covered in grease and her a new member of her father's law firm. Logan feels like the playing field is unlevel and when his luck changes he will do whatever it takes to win Bryn, even stick his foot in his mouth over and over again. I love Logan's passion and yet his awkwardness and Bryn's passion and fire.
I think I have a new favorite Colwood Firehouse guy. Jax is the one who is set to be solo forever, outside of his crew that is. A few days alone in the firehouse changes everything when a baby shows up on his doorstep. Leaving her baby at the firehouse is the last thing Violet wants to do, but a mom will do anything to keep her child safe and the baby's father isn't someone she thinks she can get away from. When she goes back to catch a glimpse of her baby she finds someone else that may help her get the courage to leave the crazy shifter behind when she sees her son with Jax. Jax and Violet make a perfect match and I loved their story.
Another great read from Vivian Lux! When Jonah King returns home it's not for a celebration, but rather the lose of his uncle. Showing up late to the funeral earns him.an earful from Ruby Riley, his sister and uncle's friend. Ruby hates Jonah from the stories she has heard after he and his brothers' band fell apart, but spending time with him shows her a man so different from the stories. Jonah and Ruby balance each other in ways neither had ever found and neither want to loose.
I loved the latest from Alexis Abbott! A hitman from the mafia is set to walk away from it all and finds the perfect safe house, deals with the previous owner and sets to fix the house when he finds a secret he wasn't expecting in the shed. That secret is a person who was working towards her goal of a nursing degree when everything changes and she finds herself a captive. Eva and Sal are two broken souls who are very different and yet they find a connection that bets anything else they have ever found. When danger closes in on Eva it's Sal who will cross any line and do anything to keep her safe. I loved Sal and Eva, their story had me hooked from page one.
I loved the latest from Michelle Horst! The 2nd book in the Enemies to Lovers series brings us the story of Logan and Mia. Logan is a part of the "Screw Crew," or what was known as that crew in college and Mia is the little sister of one of the guys, Rhett. Mia and Logan have danced around their attraction to each other for so long and now when they are finally reunited they may get their chance. Yet there is much more to this story when the guys' past is brought to the present. I loved Logan and Mia! Their story had so many layers wrapped up in them finding their happiness that I was hooked from the first page until the last and can't wait for the next book.
I have loved this Frost family from Misti Murphy & Tami Lund! In the latest, Secy Bad Boss, it is James's turn to be brought down to his knees. Myra has been his right hand for 5 years and the whole time she has harbored a crush on her boss. When he is injured due to a hilarious series of events, even if it was painful it was fun to read, Myra will be there to help him. In true fashion to this series James somehow finds himself with a pet he didn't want, but this time it's a regular kind of pet when the cat shows up. Myra and James both lack the skill of communication with each other when it comes to important things like how they feel about each other and yet when it finally counts James will step up big time and not be the unmoving person most people think he is. This is another couple you can't help but adore as you read their story.
I love this series from Linnea May. These dark romances are such great reads. What starts in the most unusual of ways ends up being just what these couples are looking for.
A great new book from Chance Carter! Frankie makes her living helping brides get their perfect day and she has a little twist to her business, the brides can hire her as maid of honor. Sounds strange maybe, but she wants to make sure women have the perfect day without the maid of honor not helping them. When she meets her latest bride she also meets the bride's soon to be brother-in-law, the surly Levi. These two are like oil and water and he will say things that will cut Frankie to the core, but when they are stranded at the resort where the upcoming wedding will take place there may be more to their relationship than just the fighting. I loved Frankie and Levi, even when he was being a jerk. His scars run deep and so do hers, she just handles them better than he does. She embraces happy while he builds walls, but she will knock the walls down.
