What starts with getting a quote for the magazine she works for turns into the opportunity of a lifetime for Maxi O'Keefe. Rush Hadley doesn't do interviews, but there is something about Maxi that makes him offer a chance at an interview if she spends 2 months with him and accompanies him to some family weddings. Maxi wants to jump at the offer to make her career by interviewing the illusive magician, but her life is tied to responsibility in the form of her sister's daughter. The chemistry is off the charts between the two and both think they can hook up with feelings staying so far out of the mix, but even the best intentions don't turn out that way. Both develop feelings, but are scared to admit to them. The more time Maxi spends with Rush and the Hadley clan the more she wishes she could be a part of that forever, but a call from home has her running back and Rush trying to pretend life is the same as before. But when he shows up on her doorstep no longer able to deny how he feels they both get what they were scared to admit they wanted. I loved this book from Misti Murphy!!

Kelly thought she had left behind her dad, Riley, and his Hellhounds MC crew when she went off to college and is so close to becoming a vet. That is until one night she gets attacked by a psycho and told it's a message for her father. Now she finds herself back in that world, but things have changed since she has been gone. She finds a father who is dying and told the best option to protect her is to have her marry Julius, her dad's right hand man and the son she thinks her dad always wanted. What starts as just a way to keep her safe their marriage is one of convenience. The more time they spend together the more they find themselves wanting each other and when both of their lives are shaken to the core with the loss of Riley they will be there for each other. The threat to Kelly is still lurking and the Hellhounds will find themselves suffering more losses before it's all over. When Kelly is taken Julius will stop at nothing to save her. I loved this read from Leah Wilde.
This was my favorite book in the series so far because it starts with unbelievable heartbreak and ends with happiness. Where the rest of the bear shifters, so far, have found their children and fallen for the mothers, Rust finds that his child hadn't made it. Samantha is still reeling from her loss of her baby and the fact that her fiancé let her suffer her los on her own. 2 years have past and she still suffering and then she meets Rust, the shifter who would have been her child's biological father. Rust sees in Samantha a kindred spirit, even though until recently he didn't know there would have been a child of his and now he wants a second chance at a family he didn't realize he wanted. Rust helps Samantha deal with the loss and look towards a brighter future.
What a great read from Simone Sowood. Skye is a struggling artist in Santa Barbra when she meets Lawson Heywood at Johnny's Roadhouse, the restaurant she works at. Lawson has money, but besides his sisters, no one to share it with that isn't just seeing what he can get them. Until he meets Skye when on a date with the latest gold digger and after the drawing she gives him he can't get her off his mind. Skye and Lawson couldn't be more different and yet neither can stay away. There are misunderstandings, stubbornness on both sides and explosive chemistry that neither can deny. I absolutely loved this one!
On a plane headed for Hawaii Piper gets her first glimpse of Gates, name unknown at the time, and watching him hit on the stewardess she gets hit with jealousy for no real reason. Now waiting for her ride to her friend's destination wedding she finds herself in the same car as the hot guy from the plane, Gates. Gates knows he's headed to Syria soon, but a brother in arms is getting married and he wouldn't miss it plus there is the hot girl from the plane headed to the same wedding. One night of passion for Piper and Gates is all they think they have and the two years that follow change them both. A cookout finds them face to face again, but Piper isn't single anymore so they try to deny the attraction brewing between them. When Piper's life is in danger her only thought is Gates and that he can help her. Running for their lives gives them an opportunity at a second chance, if they make it through it that is. B.B. Hamel does it again in this book to draw me in and keep me hooked.
Another great read from Avery Wilde, a sports romance with a twist. Eden and Troy were together for 3 great months back in high school, before everything went wrong. A scholarship shot and an unexplained disappearance finds the two apart for the next 7 years. Then a show called Stud approached Troy about being on the "reality" show where 24 women vie for his attention, and the only reason he agrees is Eden's name in the credits as a junior producer. With a second chance to get things right the two straighten out the memories of the past and work to get things right this time. But the point of the show is drama and picking one of the 24, not a crew member, so the two have to hide their blossoming new relationship. There is humor, drama, someone out to hurt the other contestants and a boss that will do anything for ratings. I loved this book.
A Prince hiding from his responsibilities and family in Amsterdam and an American woman exploring Europe after the loss of her only real family cross paths and change their futures in unexpected ways. Matthias knows his family, his mom, want him to take the thrown of the North Islands along with getting married and having an heir, but he is happy with his playboy ways, photography and gambling. Mallory is exploring Europe, her latest stop Amsterdam, after loosing her sister and before graduate school somewhere in Europe. The night their paths cross find Matthias on the loosing end of a fight and Mallory wandering the streets before checking in to where she is staying. What follows next is a whirlwind that finds them in Brussels, him trying to hide from his family's reach, and falling for each other, even though they want to deny it. At the end of their week together they go their separate ways thinking they will never see the other again. But life has other plans for them and for the country Matthias is supposed to one day soon rule. I love that these two beat the odds, overcome their fears, overcome his family and change the paths their lives would have taken alone, in order to get their happy ending.
What happens when the President's daughter meets not one but two men that turn her on in ways she has never thought possible before? That's just what Grace Sullivan finds out when first she meets the naked bongo playing man living next door to her and then at a fundraising gala an accident involving her dress, a man's hands and a photographer at the most inopportune moment. Now she finds herself drawn to Aiden Jackson and Noah Ashby, the football playing hotties that are her neighbors. The more she tries to tell herself she doesn't want either, the more she is drawn to both. Aiden and Noah have been friends forever and family since Aiden's parents were killed, but never had they thought they would fall for the same woman and end up sharing her body and love. But when all three of them are in the public eye their relationship wont stay between the three of them for long and when the blow-out inevitably comes all three will have their work cut out if they want the happiness they know they can find with each other.
Slam has a plan after he gets out of prison because the Chief of police has it out for him, ruin the only daughter he has by making her fall for him. Sounds like an easy plan, until he actually spends time with Belle, the daughter, and realizes they have more in common than he would have thought. Belle is the daughter of the Chief of police and since her mom was murdered it was like her dad was just waiting for something to happen to her. Belle is used to being the odd one out in her group of friends and when she crosses paths with Slam she finds someone who may be more like her, even with all his brashness, than anyone she had every met. Slam and Belle are the perfect balance for each other that neither had been looking for. Belle calms the rage in Slam and makes him think about other possibilities before using violence, which for the club works out well. A great read from Jaxson Kidman.
Tyler is the next up to find his mate in order for the men to keep their ranch. Tyler has always known who his mate is, but she chose his brother over him before he was kicked out of his skin shifter community. When his past comes barreling into his present he is forced to make a choice that may take him away from the group of men/bear shifters that he calls family. Isabelle was forced to make a choice when Tyler was kicked out of their community and choose his brother, in order to save Tyler's life. Now she is forced to bring him back to save the community that turned their backs on him from the brother that has gotten more evil as the time has gone by. I loved that this story was a little different from the rest of the squad, as Tyler is different than the rest of the guys. Isabelle and Tyler have their work cut out for them in order to get the happy ending that they both deserve. Another great book form Kim Fox.
