A great new read from Amelia Wilde! When Josephine's life implodes it implodes completely. First her parents have decided she has 3 months to figure her life out or she is cut of financially and then going home her boyfriend kissing another. When she decides to run to an island vacation to figure her life out she didn't think a schoolmate who hated her would be on the flight as well. Charles has been working his life away and is finally forced to take a vacation by her sister and when he boards the plane he gets a blast from the past in the form of Josephine. What follows for these two is unlike anything they could have guessed and yet there is still the undercurrent of hate, but that can't last when the connection is so strong. Yet when real life comes back and they are headed home a misunderstanding can ruin everything if they can't get things straightened out.
I loved this book from Emma Snow. This is a story where everyone is so intertwined and yet it makes so much sense. When Martha was younger she survived a truly traumatic when she was in a care home. Now 10 years later and that horror is closing in on her again when the darkness from the past is still coming for her. Along the way we meet some people who will be huge in her life in ways she wouldn't have imagined. When she calls her employer's son after an accident and he comes home she will find herself feeling normal feelings for the first time in forever. Ben comes home to try and heal the bridge between him and his father and ends up finding the woman he is willing to do anything to keep safe, including saving her from the madman closing in on her.
I absolutely loved this latest book from Jess Bentley! When Ethan and Ava find themselves in the same place they both find themselves wanting to give in to the attraction they feel. What makes it hard is the history between their families and the fact that anything that happens will have to remain a secret. Yet when life gets real Ethan will go big to prove he doesn't want their families' history to affect what they find with each other. A hot rich man will do whatever it takes to prove to the woman he loves that he is in it for all the right reasons.
I enjoyed the latest box set from Hazel Parker. What's better than one book featuring a hot mountain man saving the woman that's meant for them? Three of them all in one place and Hazel Parker delivers.
Steel has been a carny for 10 years and can't imagine a better life; every night a party and every town a new girl, he sees no end in the future. Until a town in North Carolina and a blonde girl change all that. Emily has no say in her life, whatever she does is criticized by her father just because she is a girl. So a chance meeting of Steel at the fair makes her want to live free, even if it's only one night. One night for Steel and Blondie, Emily, is all they get with the outside forces conspiring against them and for 6 months they remember that one night. Having not forgot the other, Steel shows up in town with one thing on his mind, find Blondie. When forced to make a choice between everything she knows in her life and a chance to be with Steel she chooses Steel and runs away to be a carny with him. Emily shows that she is made of stronger stuff than anyone gave her credit for and with Steel by her side they can face anything and come out stronger. I loved this book from Simone Sowood!
This is an amazing box set from Lane Hart! Three books with three couples where football plays a big part. While each book is complete the characters intertwine and make a group you can't help but love. From a female kicker on a pro team to a playboy finding himself with a baby then to a heartgripping story of a man finally finding that one meant for him. I have read each of these and loved them all.
.I am absolutely speechless after finishing the latest from Lane Hart! Delay of Game is well written, attention grabbing and such a perfect story for these two characters. Lathan and Pax are so perfectly matched, even though at first Lathan doesn't want to admit it to himself or anyone else. Lathan is the All-American guy playing football as a pro and has it in his head he needs to find that woman to share his life with. Pax on the other hand is looking for that man who can be with him and not want it to be a secret. When Lathan realizes it's not a woman he wants, but Pax it takes him some time to admit it. With the added scrutiny of being in the public eye and his mom being sick he struggles with his sttraction to Pax, even if he can't stay away. Yet when he's ready to claim Pax he does it in a huge way!
I loved the latest from Amy Brent! Gemma knows what she wants when it comes to her first time after she catches her best friend's dad with the cool, but at 18 he stands firm in its not right. 4 years later finds Gemma working for said dad, Whitt, and now all bets are off. While Whitt may give in to his desires he will still try to put the brakes on until things become more real than either planned on. The chemistry between Whitt and Gemma is off the charts.
