Dani Wyatt does it again with her latest Wrangler. An alpha male meets a shy girl and in an instant knows she is the one for him and he will do whatever it takes to make her his. Chad is back home, after years away, and his first night back changes everything for him when he meets Lori at Crutches bar while out with his friend and the girls Roger brought along. Lori, or Rachel as is her real name, is the shy quiet girl who sticks to herself, talks to herself sometimes and has a chap stick obsession. Rachel is used to being overlooked by the guys around her and after her past she has made due with her book boyfriends, yet nothing prepares her for the mountain man she meets while working at Crutches. He watches her, gives her roses and yet she still thinks it's all a joke because, in her mind, what guy would want her when he can have any one else. Chad sets out to show her just what he means when he tells her she is his. When a blast from their shared past comes roaring into the present Chad proves he will do anything to keep her. This book is HOT yet sweet in a way that Dani has of writing her characters. Chad is all alpha male yet when his dove cries he finds tears in his eyes as well. I have loved every one of Dani Wyatt's books and this one does not disappoint!
Chad is an awesome book boyfriend because he knows when to take his time and when to show his dove just what he knows she needs.

This is a hot read from Lane Hart! Blair has spent her life since her mom died being silent and locked away, now 18 she comes back home with plans. Brede has a new job and he needs the money to help out the people he calls his family. Their paths are so intertwined neither of them realize just how much. Add in a long lost twin brother named Aden who is on the other side of the law from Brede, but even he has his own reasons for being on the same trail as him. The cliffhanger in the book has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. I loved this read from Lane Hart.
I have loved all of the Gods of Chaos books, but this one was my favorite. Vanessa's life changed in the blink of an eye 10 years ago and she has been biding her time until she could get away from the monster she is forced to call husband, Royce Randolph. When she is given a card with a phone number on it she is given the means to an exit and a life free from him. Wreck is a member of the Gods of Chaos and helps with Solid Ground, an idea Grace had to help more women who need a safe place. When he goes with to extract Vanessa a shared past comes back to the present, but he doesn't know it yet. Wreck and Vanessa's story is one of heartbreak, loss, pain and overwhelming joy when they realize just how much they know about each other. Thank you Honey Palomino for another amazing book!
Wreck wears the scars of his past on his skin for everyone to see, Vanessa's scars aren't on the surface, but the loss they have both shared makes them the strong couple they are today. Wreck is an amazing book boyfriend because he isn't perfect and that's what makes him even better. The first man in the Clawed Squad meets his match in the feisty Kylee , the local sheriff. Kylee meets the crew with the plan to lay down the law, with the lingering fear of shifters instilled from her dad. The sparks fly between the two and Kylee tries to let the vision she has not rule things, until she sees Stetson's polar bear up close. These two fight through a man out for his own purpose to get their happy ever after. I love the latest from Kim Fox and can't wait to see how the other members meet their mates.
Stetson is an awesome book boyfriend! He fights with all he has to try and keep Kylee safe even at the time when he isn't in control of his bear. He is sweet with her even as he wonders if he deserves a mate. Sosie Frost does it again in her latest from the Ironfield Rivets. Jude Owens is the latest recruit for the team, he's coming back after a concussion had him out and rehabbing. Aurora "Rory" Merriweather is the team's neurologist and is the one to clear him to play. Rory has had a crush on her step-brother's best friend since she was 12 years old and seeing Jude again hits her harder than she could have imagined. With the stress of the fellowship, a baby she wasn't planning and now the object of her childhood fantasies Rory has more on her plate than what she knows how to handle. What starts as a way for them both to help each other, him claiming the baby and her and she making sure he is clear to play and stays safe, turns into what they both were missing. But nothing is easy about this situation. When Rory would rather see him sidelined than injured he turns to the one person who, for her, created this whole mess. When Jude tries to do what is the best interest of his health he is left with the dilemma of choosing the game that has been his obsession for so long and the woman who he now sees as his future. Rory and Jude are amazing together! This book has it all: the passion, adorable moments, a hilarious dog named Phillip who eats lamp shades, a team that becomes more than just a team and a family who has a lot of fixing to do. I loved this book from Sosie Frost!
Hayley gets the chance of a lifetime when the paper she works for sends her to London, England for a story. She gets set up in a nice hotel and, after some pushing over the phone from her sister, she decides to check out the bar in the hotel. While there she meets Ryan, who she says she could listen to him talk all the time, after some liquid courage. Their paths cross again when she shows up at the local football clubhouse and finds Ryan at his first day of practice with the team. This begins a whirlwind time spent together comes to a quick end when he sees the story she has been working on. With a threat from her boss Hayley finds herself doing something she knows she will regret. Hayley ends up going home with a heavy heart and an extra souvenir, Ryan's baby, and back to a place she doesn't want to be anymore. When she finally goes back to fight for her man he sends her away, still feeling hurt by what the story was going to say. When Ryan finally pulls his head out and calls he gets a scare that no one is ready for and flies to be by Hayley's side and his child's. This was an awesome story from Vesper Vaughn! I absolutely loved Dirty Baller!
Bennett has been pulling pranks just to see the reaction when people find out it was a prank, but this time he wonders if he went too far. A chance meeting at a Vegas bar leads to him having the best night with a woman so when his ego is bruised he tells her they are married, but the more time he spends with her the more afraid his is to loose her. Ava has had the worst week ever, finding her boyfriend/manager cheating, pictures being leaked by said scumbag boyfriend and topped off with getting fired from the show she starred in. Her friend/assistant suggests a weekend in Vegas. What started out as drowning her woes in liquor ends with a night she doesn't clearly remember with a man who claims to be her husband. While Bennett whisks Ava to his ranch she has never felt more free and safe with someone. When the truth comes out Bennett stops at nothing to make things right and win Ava back. Together they pull a prank on the media that has them falling in love for real. I love Sienna's characters and her guys when they redeem themselves, cuz they all screw up, they do it ways that make you long for someone to do that to you.
When Carrie's life should be great, her college graduation, everything changes with a text message. Her father is in the hospital after a heart attack, which has her fleeing from the diploma line and rushing to the hospital. When her father passes she finds herself the sole provider for her brother River, who is autistic, and needs to find a way to afford the care that he needs. Which leads to her looking for Johnny Palermo, the Boss of the Gallo Clan, a mob of Shifters, in her town. What she finds when she shows up to the address she was given is Gino Palermo. Gino is fresh out of prison and wants to start a life away from the crime and mob, but when his brother needs his help he can't walk away. Gino finds himself the new Boss of the clan and can't get Carrie of his mind, so he invites her to the barbeque he is having at his house for the clan. Carrie shows up thinking it's about a job, which it is, but also much more. Gino wants to see where things go between him and the woman he can't get out of his thoughts. Carrie goes in with eyes wide open and Gino proves he will do anything to keep her and River safe. I loved this book from Becca Fanning. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the latest from Sable Sylvan! Poppy is working an internship for the Asher Lumber Company in Seattle where she meets, or sees, Charles Dixon. Charles is part of the Asher-Dixon bear clan with a reputation for being a playboy, with nicknames like Blue Bear and Bluebeard with the blueish hair and different women on his arm. A chance meeting in an elevator that gets stuck then a meeting with Aspen Asher where he puts the two on an assignment in Port Jameson. The following week has both of them wanting more, but afraid to make the move that could change everything. Charles Dixon is looking for his mate and after learning Poppy's name he is convinced it is her, his mate mark looks like it could be some flower. The more time he spends with Poppy the surer he is that she is, but the whole employer/employee dynamic makes both pause. When they do finally give in they are explosive together and Poppy gives him that family aspect he has been searching for all his life, for he is adopted by the Dixon clan. I absolutely loved Poppy and Charles's story!
Charles makes a great book boyfriend because he has spent his adult life searching for his mate. With him being adopted he has searched for that person he could make his own family with, not that he doesn't love being a part of the Dixon family. Plus his bear is blue, what's not to like about that? This is an awesome addition to Alexis' hitman series!
Liv is a young gymnast from a small town in North Carolina. She's recruited by a gymnastic coach, Max, from Paris. Once in the City of Lights, Liv finds herself in terrible danger, praying for a savior. Max answers the call. He's got a hidden past, things he's done that he believes will taint his soul forever. But Liv sees more than his past. Will they find their HEA? Alexis' stories grip me every time, I never miss one. I love her characters and how detailed she gets with them. Max is an interesting book boyfriend, like all of Alexis' hitmen. They are not, technically "good" men, but they are. They love their women and will do anything to protect them. |
