Junior Morgan and Eliza Pierce aren't supposed to be together, but that makes it even harder to stay away. Junior Morgan is the quarterback of his college team that Eliza's dad, Cary Pierce, has become the head coach. What is supposed to be a no strings fun, turns into something that could last a lifetime. From the wanted hook-up in the Junior-mobile where she leaves him alone and minus his clothes, leaving him to run through the quad with pillows, to him running lines with her, she shows him there is more to life than meaningless hook-ups. Eliza makes Junior work for every inch he gets, making him respect her even more. Junior shows Eliza that not all guy, or even football players, are like her dad who never seemed to take any kind of interest in her life other than what good publicity she can be for him. What a great read from Tabitha Kiss!
We could all do with a guy like Junior in our real life.

Memphis hasn't been the same since the death of his parents, now caught in a fight ring that he has to win 100 fight in order to get out of. Adrienne, having just lost her father, is now at the mercy of a mad man named Wilson Cobbs. Little do the two know how entwined their lives are about to become. Cobbs sets up a tournament where the winner gets Adrienne and Memphis plans to be the winner. When Cobbs announces the wedding of himself to Adrienne's mom, she doesn't think things could get any worse. Pushed to the limits and strengths tested these two overcome the horror to make it out on the other side, even if they both have seen more than their fair share. This story is dark, edgy and yet romantic in a way that works. I loved this read from Marci Fawn and Isabella Starling. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Memphis makes an amazing book boyfriend with the way he loves Adrienne and is willing to do what ever it takes to keep her safe. Even his interactions with his guard Sage and calling him different flower names makes you see his humor and I loved it. When Cassidy starts working on an article about human trafficking in her city of Chicago all she is thinking about is the good she will do to shed light on the topic, not realizing just how much her life is about to change. When she gives a tip to the Spiders about a location that they raid which ends up with her on the Barone Family's radar. A chance encounter with a man at a known mob hang out has her life changing in ways she couldn't imagine. Rafa only knows the mob lifestyle, but an encounter at the bar with the woman he knows as Jessica has her on his mind even when it should be on business. When tasked with finding the reporter leads him to Cassidy, or as he knew her Jessica, he realizes he will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Rafa and Cassidy are in for a wild ride just to make to the end together. I loved the latest in the Barone Crime Family from B.B. Hamel! I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Rafa makes the perfect book boyfriend because there is nothing he wont do for Cassidy, even when he knows it's a bad idea. He is willing to go as far as walking away from the only life he's known to keep her safe and who wouldn't want that? Wouldn't it be wonderful to find your true love right next door? But what if he was an ass who had parties every weekend, used your pool, messed up your floor mats, used all of your laundry soap without replacing it, and ate everything in sight? Each of these heroes is a special kind of hell for the ladies involved. These stories have total laugh out loud moments and quite a few instances of sexy times (gotta give the ladies a reason to hang around!). But once these guys realize that these women are 100% theirs, they will do anything to make them happy! Each story is a wild ride and I'd love to have one of the brothers or cousins as a forever book boyfriend!
Nora battered, bruised, and broken in so many ways, but she hides it all, every day, desperately trying to fit into the world that her mother has carved out for her. Until, one day, she reaches her limit. All she can think about is doing bad things, things that might make her feel something again.
Leo is a stand up guy. When his parents were killed, he gave up his dreams to raise his little brother. But with the loss of his parents, he also lost the dream that true love was worth it. If you love someone and lose them, you're forever crushed. So Leo is a true love ‘em and leave 'em kind of guy. Their eyes meet across a parking lot. Neither calls it love at first. Nora knows that even just the sight of Leo makes her feel. Leo knows that just the sight of Nora makes him feel too much. Their story is a rollercoaster, but it's so worth the ride! The writing is spectacular! The characters are superb! The story is an emotional ride, filled with personal trauma and intense moments on both sides. I am so glad I found this author and this book! Absolutely amazing! Leo is a bit intense, but he has his reasons. The fact that Nora is in high school stops him in his tracks quite a few times. The fact that he doesn't understand her life experiences stops him, also. Leo wants the best for Nora, even if it's not him. He's muscled, hot, totally self-sufficient, and an excellent role model for his younger brother. He would make anyone a pretty great book boyfriend! Claire and Razor are sweet, hot, and sexy together. Despite growing up pretty much together, Claire has always felt more for him than brotherly love. Darn it! He's NOT her brother. Brought back to Reverence because of her imploding personal and professional life, Claire is bound and determined that this time, she's going to get exactly who she wants.
At one time, Razor saw himself as one of Claire's protectors, almost a brother. But he's not her brother, and time has changed and deepened his feelings. But can he risk his relationship with the rest of her family, the only real family he's ever known, for what might turn out to be Claire's rebound relationship? After all, she's too young to know what she really wants... Isn't she? Razor is loyal, hot, sexy, and determined to protect his girl at any cost, even if that means denying himself. He ALWAYS puts Claire's well-being first. This all makes him a pretty great book boyfriend. Each book in the series follows characters we've been introduced to in the previous ones. Great continuity on the author's part. So far there are 4 books in this series and they are all awesome! They follow the post-death love story of two characters, Ashley MacLeod (recently deceased due to a faulty hair dryer) and Grim (aka a Grim Reaper, Angel of Death). Tara West's stories will draw you in from beginning to end. Ash and Grim are perfect for each other, but they aren't the perfect couple most of the time. Each book is set in Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell at any given time. The world laid out before the reader is exciting, the writing is witty, and the hero is charming! Grim may be death, but I couldn't help falling for him. I can't wait for the next book.
This series is in depth and wonderful! The characters are well developed and lovable. I read the first book in the series a bit ago and have come back to binge read the rest! Each of the heroes faces their own challenges and each of the heroines has her own. Somewhat broken and damaged, they all manage to complete the other, leaving them slightly less broken and wholly in love. Celia Kyle has managed to create a world so intense and interesting, I can't wait to come back again and again.
Celia's heroes are wild, awesome, sexy, shifters who, when they find their mates, will stop at nothing to claim them. Definitely suggest anything by this author! To say that Delilah and Nick don't meet in the most conventional way is an understatement. To say their relationship progresses in a timely fashion is laughable. To say their story is anything except hot, sweaty, and unbelievably awesome is impossible! The whole concept of the story was a new idea for me, and that's saying something, since I've been reading romances for well over twenty years now. I liked the rapport, the characters were witty, real, and sometimes a bit jerk-ish, but everything came together to make one heck of a HEA.
Love the story! Pulled back home because of a suspicious string of fires, Keanu comes face to face with the one woman who just might be his forever. Being Native American, Cammie has heard many stories about people with other-worldly abilities. When those stories hit close to home and she finds out the man she's falling for has a special talent, can she deal with it? In addition to her personal life heating up, there are still wolves knocking at their doors. Can Cammie and Keanu figure out what's going on in time, and will their HEA become a reality?
What can I say about Keanu? Hot, fireman (gotta love the uniforms), AND a special mystical talents! Elle's heroes are witty and charming and they make wonderful book boyfriends. |
